This privacy policy aims to give you information on how we collect and process your personal data through your use of our website/web platform or if you contract with us as a customer, student, tutor or a third-party supplier.

Our web platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 years of age. In the case of children and young people, parents and/or legal guardians must use the web platform on behalf of their children. We only collect data relating to children in the case where the student receiving music tuition from tutors through our web platform is a child.

It is important that you read this privacy policy together with any other privacy policy or fair processing policy we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy policy supplements other notices and privacy policies and is not intended to override them.

2. The data we collect about you

Personal data, or personal information, means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

Identity Data includes first name, last name and title.

Contact Data includes billing address, delivery address, email address and telephone numbers.

We only process limited financial data: we do not process bank account and payment card details as this is done on our behalf by our third-party merchant supplier, currently STRIPE Inc. This data includes; names, telephone numbers, postal and email addresses and amounts of monies received and due. 

Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of services you have purchased 

Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website / our web platform.

Profile Data includes your username and password, orders for services made by you, your interests and preferences

Usage Data includes information about how you use our website, products and services.

Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data).

If you fail to provide personal data

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with access to our web platform and related services). In this case, we may have to cancel a service you have with us, but we will notify you if this is the case at the time.

Stripe - For all payments made through our website/web platform we utilise the third-party payment service provider, Stripe Payments UK Ltd. Stripe provides a secure card payment facility with SSL encryption, so whilst we will never have sight of your Financial Data (i.e. payment card information etc.), Stripe allows us to have access to anonymised transaction records which are stored for the purposes of refunds, auditing and the monitoring of purchases. We may choose to sell, transfer or merge parts of our business or our assets with a third party. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with a third party. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy policy.

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

How long will we use your personal data?

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). Time limit to respond

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
